INFORMATION ABOUT 3RD PARTY SHIPPERS WE UTILIZE

As a general rule A & M Auctioneers and Appraisers, LLC does not offer In House shipping on General Auction Merchandise!

However, shipping is available through One of Three 3rd Party Shippers that we utilize.

They include the UPS Pack and Ship Store of Delmar, DE,  UPS Pack and Ship Store of Salisbury, MD  & the Parcel Plus Store in Rehoboth Beach, DE! For larger items that need to be crated and delivered via freight we utilize Craters and Freighters located in Halethorp, MD (Baltimore County)
A&M Auctioneers determines which 3rd Party Shipper that we deliver items to for a given auction.
 
SEVERAL FACTORS CAN DETERMINE WHICH SHIPPER IS CHOSEN BY THE AUCTION COMPANY!
  • If we delivered items to a shipper one week we will normally take items to a different shipper the following week as to not inundate one shipper.
  • If only a handful of people require shipping, we will generally use one of the UPS Stores as they are closer. (An 18/26 mile round trip from our Facility)
  • If a large amount of bidders require shipping, we will take those items to the larger 2 stores (They have larger staffs and can get items processed more quickly)
  • We are providing the information for each of the 4 shippers below. They have not seen the items and will not know the dimensions or weights of items. We don’t recommend that you take the time to get a shipping quote because I can’t guarantee that shipper you receive the quote from will be the same shipper that we deliver the items to. 
 
HOW DO I NOTIFY THE AUCTION CO. THAT I REQUIRE SHIPPING?
  • After the Auction has concluded we download the sale information including buyer registration data, Lot Prices, etc… (We don’t have your information in our local Auction Software until the Auction is over)
  • Within Approx. 30 minutes of the auction ending we send out an Emailed Invoice with pertinent pickup information including the Address, Date & Time. You can reply to this email and let us know that you require shipping. We will normally reply the next morning so you know we received your request. PLEASE REPLY TO THAT EMAIL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We start processing payments at 10 AM the following morning.
  • We need to add associated bring back fees before we start processing payments. We do charge a fee when we have to drive to an Auction Site, pack your item(s) and return them to the Auction Facility. Then the following week we Drive your item(s) to one of the three 3rd Pary Shippers. There are located between 9 & 33 miles from our Auction Facility.

 

AUCTIONEERS NOTE: IT SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE COST OF SHIPPING HAS GREATLY INCREASED IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. AS WE ALL ARE EXPERIENCING FIRST HAND, THE COST OF FUEL, MATERIALS, LABOR, INSURANCE, ELECTRIC, UTILITIES HAVE ALL SKY ROCKETED. THESE FACTORS HAVE ALL ADVERSELY AFFECTED TO COST OF SHIPPING ANYTHING FROM POINT A TO POINT B.

AS YOU SHOULD EXPECT, THE LARGER/HEAVIER THE ITEM AND THE FURTHER AWAY FROM PARSONSBURG, MD YOU ARE LOCATED, THE MORE EXPENSIVE THE SHIPPING IS GOING TO COST. AGAIN, A&M AUCTIONS HAS NO CONTROL OVER THIS.

THE COST OF THE MATERIALS & LABOR ARE GREATLY AFFECTED BY THE TYPE OF ITEMS THAT YOU ARE REQUIRING TO BE SHIPPED. IF YOU PURCHASE A SQUISHMALLOW THAT WEIGHTS A POUND AND IS 11″ x 11″ x 11″ IT WILL FIT INTO A 12″ CUBE BOX WITH NO PADDING REQUIRED. IF YOU PURCHASE A 100 PC. PLACE SETTING OF CHINA THAT HAS TO BE INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED TO PROTECT IT DURING THE SHIPPING PROCESS, IT IS GOING TO REQUIRE A LARGE AMOUNT OF TIME AND OR PACKING MATERIALS TO PAD THE ITEMS IN THE BOX. YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN BIDDING.

FRAGILE/BREAKABLE ITEMS WILL REQUIRE MUCH MORE CARE IN PACKING/PADDING OF THE ITEMS TO GET THEM SAFELY TO YOU! THAT EQUATES TO HIGHER COST.

Craters & Freighters Baltimore, Maryland

NOTES: Specialty Shipper for large items large items that require Freight Delivery. This Company is located 121 miles from our Auction Facility. If you need a piece of Furniture or other large items that need to be crated and delivered via freight. They can pick items up. They can provide estimates. If the Auction Company has to deliver items to the in Halthorpe, MD be advised they are 121 miles from our Auction Facility. There will be significant expense including 3 hours driving time each way, a Diesel truck towing a trailer, Fuel, Tolls and a driver.

GENERAL EXPLANATION OF HOW A&M AUCTIONEERS HANDLES SHIPPING

Most Auctions by A&M Auctions are conducted Online Only and will feature and ending date on a Wednesday (Occasionally Tuesday & Thursdays if we have multiple auction in one week.)

Most Auction pickups will occur on a Saturday (Occasionally Fridays & Sundays depending on the time of year & if we have multiple Auctions in one week) 

Auction Pickups are always conducted at the Location that the items were sold. We conduct Auctions at our Auction Facility in Parsonsburg, MD and many more onsite at a clients home or place of business through out the Delmarva Peninsula.

We can arrange delivery, for a fee, to one of three 3rd Party Shipper that we utilize.

A&M Auctioneers is not the Shipping Company, thus we can’t provide shipping estimates/quotes for you.

Upon Notification that you require shipping we will schedule to pick you items up at the designated Auction Pick Up site during the Scheduled date & time.

We arrive Approx. 1 hour before the Auction Pickup is scheduled to start to that we can get set up, organize items that were sold and load items that are being shipped/hauled back to our Facility.

We will pack your smaller items in Plastic Totes with bed pads/bubble or foam wrap to protect fragile items during the hauling process. Larger Pieces are wrapped in Blankets.

We load the items that are being shipped/hauled back to our Facility onto an enclosed trailer that we take to the Auction Pickup Site with us.

We return to the Auction Facility upon completion of the Auction Pickup. The items are typically stored on that Trailer unless you are picking your items up at the A&M Facility in which case they are unloaded into our facility.

At the beginning of the following week, once we determine how many bidders require shipping, we contact the 3rd Party Shippers to determine who can get the items out in a timely manner.

On a week that we have an auction, we normally deliver items to a shipper of our choice the following week on either Tue/Wed depending on our schedule. (Normally 2-3 days after the Auction Pickup)

On the delivery date we email individuals the Date, Time and Location of the drop off with the Shippers contact information.

A copy of your paid invoice including your contact information will be dropped off with your item(s).

Once the items have been dropped off at the respective shipper our part in the process will have been completed. At that point we will have no further information regarding the shipments status. You would need to contact the 3rd party shipper with any further questions. We do not follow up with the shipper on a daily basis so we will not have information about the cost of the shipping, the date the items will be shipped, tracking numbers or any other information. 

A&M Auctioneers and Appraisers, LLC has no affiliation with any of the 3rd party shippers that we utilize.

A&M Auctioneers has no control over shipping/freight/postage fees, materials or Boxing fees, Labor Cost, Insurance fee’s or any other cost incurred through the 3rd Party Shipper.

Once the item is boxed and ready to ship the Shipper will attempt to contact you via phone/email. You will pay the 3rd Party Shipper directly for the shipping services.

IT SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE COST OF SHIPPING HAS GREATLY INCREASED IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. AGAIN, A&M AUCTIONS HAS NO CONTROL OVER THIS.

If you decide not to have your item shipped by the 3rd Party Shipper, for what ever reason, once that items has been delivered to them you will be responsible for picking the item up from them.

If you want do not want to use the one of our recommended 3rd Party Shippers, please contact the shipper of your choice and have them pick the items up for you at the Auction Pickup Site during the scheduled Date/Time. If we bring your item(s) back from an onsite auction to our Auction Facility there would be a hauling fee. They can then pick the items up at our Auction Facility at 8000 Esham Rd., Parsonsburg, MD.

EXCEPTIONS TO OUR SHIPPING POLICY/RECOMMENDATIONS

A&M Auctions will ship ALL Firearms and High Capacity Mags as required by Federal/State law. We are a FFL (Federal Firearms Licensee) & MD State Police Regulated Firearms Dealer.

We will also ship High end Jewelry including Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Precious Gemstones.  This is mainly due to fraudulent attempts to purchase these items. We will only ship to a Verified Address. If we suspect fraudulent activity we have the right to only accept payment for said items in Cash, Certified bank funds.

We recommend that all shipped items include insurance. We are selling used merchandise that belonged to a consignor. Most likely the consignor will have already been paid for said items by the time something is delivered to you. An insurance claim is the only recourse available if an item arrives damaged.
