Auctioneer’s Note: The late Davison “Dave” Hawthorne is among one of the most well-known antique collectors and decoy carvers on the entire Eastern Shore. He and his wife Kay spent more than 60 years collecting and dealing antiques. Mr. Hawthorne was himself a blue-ribbon carver and knowledgeable collector who owned an antiques and decoy shop in the heart of Downtown Salisbury, MD. He has been featured in numerous publications and magazines such as the Duck Collector Guide, Sporting Collector’s Handbook and North American Decoys magazine. Allen & Marshall Auctioneers and Appraiser’s does not ship items, however shipping is available through the UPS Pack and Ship Store of Salisbury, MD or a shipper of buyer’s choice. Buyer is responsible for bringing any required manpower, tools, boxes, wrapping paper, blankets, wheel cart or dollies needed to remove your items from the property. Items not picked up by 6PM on Friday April 27th will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of at the discretion of the Auction Company.
