Auctioneers Note: Allen & Marshall Auctions is honored to have several elite collections in this years sale including the late decoy carver and collector Smitty Rue. Mr. Rue graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1947. He enlisted into the armed forces and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on April 1, 1951. He settled into the restaurant and bar business as the operator of Jim’s Drive-In and Sportsman’s Bar for a score of years. He was a member of the Cambridge Masonic Lodge #66, Cambridge Elks Lodge #1272, and the Dorchester County Historical Society. He thoroughly enjoyed the time-honored sport of Water fowling particularly with his childhood friend, the late Russel C. “Bussie” Spear Jr., his brother, notable decoy carver, the late Ronald L. Rue and his early mentor of that sport the late Dr. Wallace P. Smith. This auction also features an exquisite selection of artwork from the Estate of Alfred F. King III. Freddy as most called him founded The Sportsman’s Edge, Ltd. and King Gallery in New York, selling the finest sporting art to a loyal clientele who valued his discerning judgment and keen eye. Pickup: This is a Live Auction. We will be onsite on Friday Night the 11th of Sept. until the end of the Auction. (Approx. 10 PM). Items can be picked up at the Auction Site the following week Monday Sept. 14th – Friday 18th from 9 AM – 5 PM by Appointment. Buyer is responsible for removing all items. A&M Auctioneers and Appraiser’s does not ship items, however shipping is available through the UPS Pack and Ship Store of Salisbury, MD or a shipper of buyer’s choice. Buyer is responsible for bringing any required manpower, tools, boxes, wrapping paper, blankets, wheel cart or dollies needed to remove your items from the property. Items not picked or shipping arrangements made by Friday Sept. 18th, 2020 will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of at the discretion of the Auction Company.
