The home was built sometime around 1840 and much of the contents are original to the home. The house and contents have received much notoriety having been visited by state governors as well as featured in the 1980’s wonderworks film “Jacob Have I Loved” staring Bridget Fonda. There is an exquisite selection of Eastern Shore of MD antiques and primitives. The home is so packed full of historically important matters that the late Elizabeth Miles had plans to turn it into a public museum shortly before her passing.
