Auctioneer’s Note:  Elmer F. Hastings founded Hastings Hatchery in 1917 and by the mid 1950’s the hatchery had grown to be one of the largest hatcheries in the country with locations in Maryland and Georgia. Mr. Hastings was an avid collector of fine antiques and purchased only the most genuine items while traveling on business throughout the United States and other countries abroad. Over the period of his lifetime Mr. Hastings amassed a collection rivaling any other in the area. From fine porcelains and bronzes to artwork, period furniture and Persian carpets, simply put, if he liked something he bought it, no matter what the price. Never has a collection of this magnitude and historical importance been offered here locally on the Eastern Shore.  Allen & Marshall Auctions is pleased to offer this exquisite private collection at a once in a lifetime completely cataloged public auction and cordially invite you to join us for an unforgettable auction event!!

Directions:  Our Auction Facility is located in Parsonsburg on the Eastern Shore of Maryland Approx. 100 Miles north of Norfolk, VA, 55 Miles South of Dover, DE, 100 East of Washington, DC and 18 miles West of Ocean City, MD. At the intersection of Rt. 50 and the Rt. 13 Bypass merge onto Rt. 50 East towards Ocean City and follow for 3.9 miles to the intersection of Rt. 50 & Forest Grove Rd. Turn North (left) onto Forest Grove Rd. and follow for 0.5 miles to Old Ocean City Rd. Right onto Old O. C. Rd. and follow for 1.2 miles to Esham Rd. Left onto Esham Rd. and follow for 1.2 miles to burgundy/tan building on left. Signs Posted.

Online Bidding: This is a Live Auction held at the Allen & Marshall Auction facility with Live Online bidding provided via PROXIBID. Cataloging/Photography Note: This will be a fully cataloged auction with a color catalog available for purchase. The cataloging will take place in the next month or so.  We will photograph individual items at that time. Several thousand photos will be taken of the items being sold. Those photos and catalog will be uploaded to Proxibid once the process is complete.
